Soccer is the National sport of Mexico, and in Guadalajara especially, it is the main recreational and sport activity and there are many teams that are now National icons such as the Chivas of the Guadalajara Sports Club, the CF Atlas and the Tecos of the UAG. All of them play at the Jalisco stadium with the exception of the Tecos that play at the 3 de Marzo stadium in Zapopan.
Rodeo is another typical Mexican sport that has achieved worldwide recognition.
Golf, tennis and Volleyball amongst others are also played in this city.
